The 16 km final leg of the tour is another dream for nature-lovers as once again, the AhrSteig shows itself in its most beautiful light. The smooth foothills of the Ahr mountain range has some stunning views of the Rhine plains to offer and at the end of the trip, the pretty Barbarossa town of Sinzig awaits.
The 2.7km long marked path leads from Bad Neuenahr past the climbing park and up the Neuenahrer Berg with gorgeous views of the Ahr valley and the Landskrone. Softly springy forest paths lead to the Idienbach valley. Forest paths lead towards Heimersheim, through the village of Ehlingen and over wine paths up to the Ehlinger Ley and then onwards on the mountain chain of the Mühlenberg to the Felten tower near Sinzig. One last descent leads to the finishing line at Sinzig castle near the Late Romantic St. Peter Basilika and church square.
The marked path leads to the nature reserve of the Ahr estuary.
