The second leg of the Ahrsteig leads 11.7 km from the Freilinger lake through meadows and forests into neighbouring Aremberg. Idyllic forests, orchards and impressive views to the Ardennes and the Schneifel accompany your trip.
From the Freilinger lake, start towards Lommersdorf. Uphill, paths through meadows lead to the 534m high Hühnerberg that offers beautiful panoramic views. Following the Roman road through large woods and gorgeous meadows and fields, the village of Aremberg awaits with pretty alleys and fantastic views of the majestic Nürburg.
